Recently, Google teamed up with the Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau to bring a bit of Aloha to Google’s famed Street View service. Through Google’s new “Google Trekker” project, qualified organizations are now eligible to receive, on loan, their very own Google camera setup with which to record their unique surroundings and upload them to Google’s servers for all to explore and enjoy. As part of this pilot program, the HVCB had been chosen to be Google’s very first Trekker partner; a choice which surely Google is very happy to have made.
Now, thanks to the HVCB’s intrepid “Trekkers,” we are treated to a number of amazing views of Hawaii, all ready to explorable from the comfort of your home. This fantastic Google feature can even come in handy while you are staying at your South Maui vacation rental; helping you to decide which Hawaiian island you would like to explore In Real Life after taking in the sights and sounds of Maui! But don’t just take our word for it, take a look for yourself:
